(WBAP/KLIF) – PLANO, TX – On Monday, the Plano City Council supported a quarter cent tax reduction in how much residents pay for DART. DART officials stated that the City of Plano does not have the authority to reduce the tax rate exclusively for Plano, and that any reduction would have devastating effects on those who rely on dart to access jobs, healthcare, and education. Plano Mayor John Muns stated that this move would not reduce existing services, and that it’s about holding DART accountable to its member cities and their tax payers.
